PrometheusPrivacy Policy: Room Guard

This policy describes what the Room Guard app ("the app") does with data.
What the app does
The app stops two services that share one room from being booked at overlapping times. You choose which services share a room on a page in your Wix dashboard. When someone makes or moves a booking, Wix asks the app whether the room is free; the app looks at the bookings already on your site for the other services in that room and answers yes or no. It never creates, changes or cancels bookings.
Data the app handles
- Services and resources: the names of your services and of the resources (rooms, equipment) they use, so you can pick them and so the app can suggest rooms.
- The booking being checked: its service, session ID and start and end time. The app does not read the client's name, email or phone for this check.
- Existing bookings: the service, status, start and end time of bookings for the services in the same room. On the paid plan, the double-booking board also shows the client's name on those bookings, inside your dashboard only; it is not stored.
- Your rooms and options: stored as one item in a collection in your site's own database (CMS), named "Room Guard settings".
- Refused bookings (paid plan only): when the app refuses a booking, it adds a row to a collection on your site named "Room Guard blocked attempts" with the room name, the service ID, the requested start and end time, and the ID of the booking and service that already held the room. No client names or contact details.
- Plan status: the app asks Wix whether your site is on the free or the paid plan.
Data the app does not collect
The app has no servers and no database of its own; its checks run on Wix's platform. It does not send any data to the developer or to any third party. It uses no analytics, no tracking, no third-party scripts, no advertising and sets no cookies on your visitors.
Sharing
We do not sell or share data. The only parties involved are you and Wix. Wix processes data under its own privacy policy (https://www.wix.com/about/privacy). Payments for the paid plan are handled by Wix; the developer does not receive card details.
Retention and deletion
Your rooms and the refused-bookings log stay in your site's collections until you delete them in the CMS or uninstall the app. The developer holds no data, so there is nothing for the developer to delete.
Children
The app is a business tool for site owners and is not directed at children.
Changes
If the app changes what it does with data, this policy will be updated before the change is released and the effective date will change.
