Quick answers
How do I allow at most 2 desserts per order?
On the Rules tab press + Add a rule, set "Applies to" to Menu sections, tick Desserts, set Max per order to 2, then Save rules. Within a minute, a cart with 3 desserts shows your message and can't be ordered.
How do I sell cupcakes in sixes or more?
Add a rule for the cupcake dishes with Min per order 6. The minimum only applies when the dish is in the cart.
Which day does a daily cap count?
The pickup or delivery day the customer chose, in your restaurant's time zone. ASAP orders count for today. Paid and pending orders count, including preorders placed up to 30 days ahead; canceled orders don't.
Stop or warn?
"Stop checkout" blocks the order until the cart is fixed. "Only warn" shows your message and lets the customer order anyway.
What can I put in the message?
Any text up to 300 characters. {name}, {min}, {max}, {left} and {day} are filled in for you.
An order went over a limit.
If the app can't finish a check in time, it lets the order through instead of blocking your customers. Orders placed before the rule existed also stay. Email us if it keeps happening.
Where are my rules saved?
In your site's CMS, in a collection named "Menu Limits settings".
