This policy describes what the Menu Limits app ("the app") does with data.
What the app does
The app lets you set limits on what one online order from your restaurant menu may contain, and (on the paid plan) how many of a dish or menu section you sell for one pickup or delivery day. You set the rules on a page in your Wix dashboard. When a customer views their cart or checkout, Wix asks the app whether the cart fits your rules; the app answers with your message if it doesn't. It never creates, changes or cancels orders.
Data the app handles
- Your menu: the names and IDs of your menus, sections and dishes, so you can pick them in a rule, and your restaurant's time zone.
- The cart being checked: the dishes, their menu sections and quantities, the subtotal, and the chosen pickup or delivery type and time. Wix also sends the buyer's email and address with every check; the app does not read, keep or send them anywhere.
- Past orders (paid plan, daily caps only): the app asks Wix for paid and pending orders that contain the capped dishes, adds up the quantities for the cart's day, and keeps the totals in memory for about 15 seconds. It does not store orders or customer details.
- Your rules: stored as one item in a collection in your site's own database (CMS), named "Menu Limits settings".
- Blocked checkouts (paid plan only): when a rule stops a checkout, the app adds a row to a collection on your site named "Menu Limits blocked checkouts" with the rule, the dishes and quantities in the cart, the day, and the message shown. No names, emails or addresses.
- Plan status: the app asks Wix whether your site is on the free or the paid plan.
Data the app does not collect
The app has no servers and no database of its own; its checks run on Wix's platform. It does not send any data to the developer or to any third party. It uses no analytics, no tracking, no third-party scripts, no advertising and sets no cookies on your visitors.
Sharing
We do not sell or share data. The only parties involved are you and Wix. Wix processes data under its own privacy policy (https://www.wix.com/about/privacy). Payments for the paid plan are handled by Wix; the developer does not receive card details.
Retention and deletion
Your rules and the blocked-checkouts log stay in your site's collections until you delete them in the CMS or uninstall the app. The developer holds no data, so there is nothing for the developer to delete.
Children
The app is a business tool for site owners and is not directed at children.
Changes
If the app changes what it does with data, this policy will be updated before the change is released and the effective date will change.
