Quick answers
How do I limit a service to 6 bookings a week?
On the Caps tab press + Add a cap, choose the service, set the period to Week and the limit to 6, then Save caps. The 7th booking for a session in that week is refused with your message.
Which week or month does a booking count in?
The one its session starts in, in your site's time zone, not the day it was booked. Weeks start on Monday or Sunday; you choose per cap.
Which bookings count?
Confirmed and pending bookings. Turn on "Count waiting-list bookings toward caps" to count those too. Cancelled bookings never count.
Bookings or participants?
Each cap counts either bookings (a booking for 3 people is 1) or participants (that booking is 3).
Can I still book over a cap myself?
Yes, by default the owner and staff can book over caps from the dashboard. Turn off "Let me and my staff book over a cap from the dashboard" to apply caps to everyone.
Per-client caps
A per-client cap counts each client separately (for example, 2 classes per client per week). It needs the client's contact on the booking, which Wix adds for bookings made on your site.
A booking went over a cap.
If the app can't finish a check in time, it lets the booking through instead of blocking your customers. Bookings made before the cap existed also stay. Email us if it keeps happening.
Where are my caps saved?
In your site's CMS, in a collection named "Booking Caps settings".
Where the app lives
In your dashboard, open Manage Apps, then Booking Caps.
