This policy describes what the Booking Caps app ("the app") does with data.
What the app does
The app lets you set limits on how many bookings your site takes per day, week or month. You set the limits on a page in your Wix dashboard. When someone makes a new booking, Wix asks the app whether the booking fits within your limits; the app counts the matching bookings already on your site and answers yes or no. It never creates, changes or cancels bookings.
Data the app handles
- Services and staff: the names of your services and staff members, so you can choose them in a limit.
- The new booking being checked: its service, staff member, session start time and time zone, number of participants, and the client's contact ID (an internal Wix ID, not a name or email).
- Existing bookings: the app asks Wix for the number of bookings (or participants) that match a limit in its period. It does not read or store client names, emails or phone numbers.
- Your limits and options: stored as one item in a collection in your site's own database (CMS), named "Booking Caps settings".
- Blocked attempts (paid plan only): when a limit refuses a booking, the app adds a row to a collection on your site named "Booking Caps blocked attempts" with the limit's name, the service ID, staff ID, client contact ID, session start time and how many bookings there already were.
- Plan status: the app asks Wix whether your site is on the free or the paid plan.
Data the app does not collect
The app has no servers and no database of its own; its checks run on Wix's platform. It does not send any data to the developer or to any third party. It uses no analytics, no tracking, no third-party scripts, no advertising and sets no cookies on your visitors.
Sharing
We do not sell or share data. The only parties involved are you and Wix. Wix processes data under its own privacy policy (https://www.wix.com/about/privacy). Payments for the paid plan are handled by Wix; the developer does not receive card details.
Retention and deletion
Your limits and the blocked-attempts log stay in your site's collections until you delete them in the CMS or uninstall the app. The developer holds no data, so there is nothing for the developer to delete.
Children
The app is a business tool for site owners and is not directed at children.
Changes
If the app changes what it does with data, this policy will be updated before the change is released and the effective date will change.
