This policy describes what the Guest Posts app ("the app") does with data.
What the app does
The app is a page in your Wix dashboard. It reads the entries of a form on your site that visitors use to send blog posts, shows them in a review queue, and turns the ones you accept into blog drafts.
Data the app handles
- Form entries: the title, text, name, email address, uploaded photos and category choice a guest sent, plus the member ID when the guest was logged in. They are read to show the queue and to build drafts.
- Blog data: your categories, and the drafts the app creates. The guest's email address is never put into a draft.
- Site members: names and login emails, read so you can pick the member who owns the drafts.
- Settings and queue status: the field mapping and options per form, and for each handled entry whether it was accepted (with the draft ID), rejected (with your reason) or failed, stored in two collections on your own site.
- Plan status: the app asks Wix whether your site is on the free or the paid plan.
- Browser settings: whether you closed the intro and review boxes, kept in your browser's local storage.
Where the data goes
Everything is read and written through Wix's own APIs, from your browser while the page is open, or from the app's backend on Wix when automatic drafts are switched on. The developer never receives, stores or sees your form entries or posts, and nothing is shared with anyone else.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted at this address with a new effective date.
