This policy describes what the Blog Backup & Export app ("the app") does with data.
What the app does
When you press Download ZIP, the app reads your blog posts from Wix inside your own browser, turns them into files, and saves one ZIP file to your computer.
Data the app handles
- Blog content: published posts, and on the paid plan unpublished drafts, with their text, images, titles, dates, links, categories and tags. The app reads them only while you make a backup.
- Images: on the paid plan the app downloads your posts' images from Wix's media servers so they can go into the ZIP.
- Plan status: the app asks Wix whether your site is on the free or the paid plan.
- Two browser settings: when you close the intro box or the review request, the app remembers that in your browser's local storage (one on/off flag each).
Data the app does not collect
The app has no servers and no database. Your posts go from Wix to your browser and into the file you save; nothing is sent to the developer or to any third party. The app writes nothing to your site. It uses no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and sets no cookies on your visitors.
Sharing
We do not sell or share data. The only parties involved are you and Wix. Wix processes data under its own privacy policy (https://www.wix.com/about/privacy). Payments for the paid plan are handled by Wix; the developer does not receive card details.
Retention and deletion
The app keeps nothing. The ZIP files you download are yours to keep or delete. Uninstalling the app removes its access to your blog.
Children
The app is a business tool for site owners and is not directed at children.
Changes
If the app changes what it does with data, this policy will be updated before the change is released and the effective date will change.
