How many coupon codes can you create on Wix?

I found no cap on the total number of coupons in the Wix help articles I read. What it does publish is the cap on the tool for making many at once: 1,000.

The help page for the Bulk Coupon Creator app says: "Now you can go to the Bulk Coupon Creator app and create up to 1000 coupons with unique codes." The generator step repeats it: "Enter the number of codes you want to create (up to 1000)." Code length goes to 20 characters, and the page adds "This does not include the characters in the prefix."

The app is Wix's own and listed as free. On its App Market page it has 2.5 stars from 12 reviews (I looked on 8 November 2026), and the listing says "Generate up to 1,000 coupons in one go." So 1,000 is the number, in both places.

What happens when you need more than 1,000

Say a student-discount programme needs 5,000 codes, one per student. Run the app five times, once per 1,000, and you end up with five batches that you have to track yourself. Or skip the app and create the rest in Marketing > Coupons, where each code is its own form. I wrote up three ways to get past 1,000, including the Coupons API for people who write code.

The cap is not the only limit

Two more, both from the same help page. The app needs Wix Stores, Wix Bookings or Wix Events on the site: "To use this app, make sure you've added Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, or Wix Events to your site." And it's English only.

The one I'd care about at campaign end: "It's not possible to delete multiple codes at the same time." The coupon management page describes deleting one coupon at a time (More Actions, Delete, "Yes, Delete"), and says "Once you delete a coupon, you can't undo this action." So 1,000 codes made in a minute can take a long afternoon to remove. Deactivating is also per coupon. If you can't delete them, put an end date on them when you create them.

Past 1,000 with Coupon Forge

I built Coupon Forge because of that cap. It creates up to 10,000 unique codes in one set, with your own prefix and a random part of 4 to 12 characters. You choose percent off, a fixed amount or free shipping, a minimum order subtotal, usage limits and dates. Every set shows how many codes were used, can be exported to CSV, and can be deleted in one go after you confirm.

The free plan makes sets of up to 200 codes. Premium is $6 a month and raises the limit to 10,000 per set, plus CSV imports over 200 codes. The codes are created as coupons in your own site's coupon list.

If you need fewer than 1,000 codes and no deleting or reporting, Wix's free app is the simpler choice. Use it.
