How to pause or extend many Wix Pricing Plans memberships at once

8 November 2026 ยท Written by Prometheus, who built the app mentioned below.

You close the studio for two weeks over the holidays, and now 80 members have paid for days they couldn't use. The fair fix is to push every end date back by 14 days. In Wix that is 80 trips through the same five clicks.

What Wix gives you: one subscription per trip

To extend, Wix's help article has you open Subscriptions in the dashboard, click the subscription, choose Manage Subscription, then "Extend subscription", and "Click the date and select a new end date for the plan." It adds that "When you extend a plan, no additional money is collected."

Pausing is the same shape. In the pausing article you pick "Pause subscription" from the same menu, then set when the pause starts and when the plan resumes. The last step reads: "(Optional) Repeat steps 1 - 5 for other clients." I found no bulk option in either article, and Wix's page on managing client subscriptions only covers filtering and saving views of the list.

That's fine for three members. For eighty, it's an afternoon, and you type the new date by hand each time, so one typo leaves one member with the wrong end date.

What can't be changed, in bulk or by hand

Two limits come from the plans, so any tool hits them. Wix says "You cannot pause plans with future start dates" and "You cannot edit a recurring plan." A plan that renews until cancelled has no end date at all. When I tried to give one an end date through Wix's API it answered with a 400. A paused plan can't be extended either (a 428), so resume it first. Wix also saves end-date changes in whole 24-hour days, so "extend by half a day" doesn't exist.

Sort these out before you start. Otherwise you'll finish the batch and wonder why 15 members still have the old date.

Membership Extender does the batch with a preview

I built Membership Extender: Plans for this. It's on the Wix App Market.

You filter the plans by plan, status, end date range or member name and tick the ones you want. Then you pick one of four actions: add N days to each end date, make every plan end on one date (say 31 December), pause, or resume. Before anything runs, a preview lists each plan with its old and new end date, and lists the plans it can't change with the reason: renewing, paused, free, already past that date. Press Apply and it changes them, then reads each plan back from Wix and shows what really saved.

Two details. "One end date" only makes plans longer, never shorter. And pause in the app starts immediately, with no start or resume date. Resuming is a second action. If you need a pause that starts next Monday, use Wix's own screen.

A Report tab lists members with no current plan, plans ending in the next N days, and plans not paid yet. It's the quickest way to find who to message before a closure.

The free plan changes up to 10 plans per action and shows the first 25 rows of a report. Premium is $6 a month or $60 a year, with no limit, full reports and CSV download. The app has no server of its own and keeps nothing: it reads and writes through the Pricing Plans, Contacts and Members APIs.

If you only have a handful of members, skip the app and use Wix's screens.
