How to add participants to a Wix online program in bulk or automatically

Forty people register for your workshop, and you promised each of them a follow-up course. In Wix Online Programs that means adding them to the program yourself, name by name, after the event.
Wix says so on its feature request page: "Currently, you cannot automatically add participants to an online program via Wix Automations." The page's own example is the one above: you "can't create an automation that automatically adds someone to a follow-up program after they sign up for an event." Its suggested workaround is to keep track of who signed up and add them to the program by hand.
A second page, on bulk invites, says admins "cannot invite whole groups to programs at once based on roles." Both pages are marked "We are collecting votes for this issue."
How the manual route works
The participants article has the steps: go to Invite Participants, choose Add to Program, then "enter the email of the site member(s) or select them from the list." It describes manual enrollment as: "Give site members free access to your program by manually enrolling them." It doesn't state a batch limit.
Two limits are stated. One: "If you have a free site, you can add one participant at a time for all programs." Two: "It's not possible to invite participants to programs in progress with fixed start and end dates." The steps are written for site members, and the article doesn't say what happens to someone who has no account yet.
Program Enroll adds them on RSVP, on purchase or from a list
I built Program Enroll for this. It's on the Wix App Market.
A rule says "when someone registers for this event, add them to that program". The same works for a check-in at the event, or for a payment on a store product. Each person is added once per event or order and program. In my tests on a dev site a member who RSVP'd was a participant six seconds later, and a store order that was paid enrolled the buyer in the same time. A guest without a member account waits in a list and is added when they sign up. That test took four seconds after sign-up.
For a whole group, you choose a program and either a contact label or a pasted email list. Events puts a label on each event's guests on its own, so one click can take everyone from last Saturday's workshop. A preview sorts people into will be added, no member account, already in, and not a contact. Then it adds them in batches of 100.
Free: one rule, up to 25 people per bulk add, and the last 20 actions in the activity log. Premium is $6 a month or $60 a year ($5 a month billed yearly): unlimited rules, any number of people at once, removal of a buyer from the program on a full refund, and the full history as a CSV.
One thing outside the app: my free dev site let Wix hold only one active participant, so the app shows the site's limit at the top and logs "participant limit reached" when you hit it. I didn't have a paid Online Programs site to test with, so adding more than one participant at a time on a paid site, and Premium billing, weren't tried live. The Premium paths ran with the plan check forced to Premium. Moving a waiting guest to attending was only covered by unit tests. The app needs Wix Online Programs; event rules need Wix Events and product rules need Wix Stores.
